Purpose: 
The Texas Trees Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose goals are to create an urban forest by planting trees on public streets, boulevards, and rights-of-way and to improve parks and public natural green spaces.
Description: 
The Texas Trees Foundation seeks to green North Texas by improving green spaces and planting trees in urban areas. Ongoing projects include the creation of an urban tree farm at Richland College and the planting of trees on school campuses and in the Southwestern Medical District to reduce the urban heat island effect. The foundation also offers support for tree planting events and urban forestry assessments. Users can get involved by donating, volunteering, and educating themselves.
