Texas Living Waters- Oil and Gas Produced Water in Texas

This publication, released in March 2025, is available in both a two-page fact sheet and a full paper, highlighting the latest research on water produced as a byproduct of oil and gas production. Produced water has the potential to be used in crop irrigation and beneficial reuse projects. Yet, greater education on the associated challenges is still needed before fully deploying it as a water supply strategy. Both documents dive into the challenges, offering potential solutions along the way.
