North Texas Municipal Water District Water Conservation Intiatives

Purpose:
Conservation and water reuse are critical ways North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) manages a finite supply of water. NTMWD is relying on water conservation as the soure for nearly one-quarter of the future water supplies for their customers.
Description:
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) provides vital water and waste management services to more than 1.6 million people who call North Texas their home. The NTMWD team builds, maintains, protects, stores, and conserves regional water supplies; treats and delivers clean drinking water; collects, treats and disposes of trash, sewage and other waste; and plans for future regional service needs. NTMWD offers many resources that educate communities on the value of water and what can be done to protect future supplies. The water district has developed infographics, videos, and tips, and has invested in three different water education campaigns that inform consumers and businesses about the source of their water and how they can save water through efficiency.
